Business Facilitation
|
| "Meetings are indispensable when you don't want to do anything." |
|
John Kenneth Galbraith, Economist. |
| "I thought I'd be bored when I came to this meeting, but I wasn't. You kept things moving along."
"Excellent. Kept us on track and effectively challenged our thinking." | |
|
Overlong, self-indulgent, circular, directionless, boring and ... very expensive. Many managers spend many hours in meaningless meetings.
Meetings facilitated by MenTacTion are different. Recognising that the major issue with meetings is often a frustration borne from rigidly following a process that diverts energy away from the real purpose, MenTacTion's flexible approach is strongly focused on the achievement of agreed outcomes. The process used to get to the desired outcomes is important, but secondary. |

We work with businesses and we work with charities, voluntary organisations, political parties and pressure groups.
With businesses, we work above internal politics and power struggles. We're independent, objective and results-focused. We have the experience to handle senior people effectively and drive a group towards agreed outcomes in a way that is open, transparent and fair to all.
With charities, pressure groups and similar organisations, we're aware that people are giving up their precious free time. The focus here is to surface all ideas and opinions - quickly and in full - by effectively managing the energy and enthusiasm that can sometimes lead to individuals monopolising limited airtime.
The way we work follows a familiar pattern:
- Meet with the main stakeholders to understand the purpose and desired outcomes of the meeting or workshop
- Work with the stakeholders to devise a broad timetable and process (indicating time and output milestones)
- Meet with any co-facilitators to explain the timings and process
- Facilitate the meeting or workshop
- Provide a concise written summary of the outcomes
